sorry for ur loss n thx for sharing.

the thing is we're feeding our aros food that is not found in their natural diet. eg mp with the huge sharp spike at the head.. large cut kunning that is bigger than the fish they prey on in the wild.. hence bigger n sharper bones. n as for SW.. fed in moderation no issues.. it's only when overfeeding then the issues start.

i know a lot of bros just feed mp with shell n head, big kunning chunks etc with no issues at all, but i prefer to play safe.. mp cut off the head spike... kunning chop into small pieces. and never overfeed.. i know most of us want sumo aros.. but besides the risk of digestion issues.. fatty liver is another silent killer.

agree with this...I am feeding market fish to my rays...I have rays range from 7 inch to 20 inch...they all eat the same sized of kunning chunks...yes I may need more time to cut the fish, but I feel this is the safer way...

Correct may also due to batang fish,
Buy wrongly as kuning fish. And realized it's bone harder than the rest.

The rest like lung n heart seem healthy so there's no sign of any illness.

Imo, those having torpedo spinning syndrome very very hard to cure. High possible due to food. I'm feeding kuning n can only think it's hard bone pierce internally.. pretty similar cases of sw hard head digestive issues.

Do share ur opinions.

It's expensive experience but hopefully can prevent such cases in future.
Hi, sorry for your loss..

From your necropsy, looks like it's a fatty fish with all that accumulation of fat lining the organs..

That portion that is bleeding right above the swim bladder is the kidneys.
Behavior reminds me it's some sort of viral infection affecting the brain, causing spiraling, and with that haemarrage of kidney, seems possibly due to virus infection..

Just my opinion..
