then it's correct, they are malawi cichlids.

In terms of temperature, ph, water quality, etc, yes they live in almost similar conditions. However, most Malawi cichlids are very lively, restless whereas most tangs are slow-movers.

Was at qh today to get some fish today n happened to spot this fish called"Madagascar", find it very cute..Didnt buy becos not sure can mix with some of my Malawi & tangans fish..Any bros can advise? Tks

Ranchu, I think u have to specify the actual species. If I'm not mistaken, most of them can grow to quite huge sizes (10in & above) & prefer a softer water (lower ph). Still able to keep together but will not thrive imo. It is better to know exactly which type u referring to. However hope this will help >>

hi bro,

yes,based on the link u provide,it look much like the fifth pic "menarambo".

Just try on a few species and really enjoy their activeness,its so nice to sit down with a hot kopi n admire them.

By the way, what brand of food u guys normally feed on them to bring out their best colour? tks
