Default Team news: Confirmed Liverpool line-up against Brighton

Jürgen Klopp has again named an unchanged line-up for this evening's Premier League clash with Brighton and Hove Albion at Anfield.

The Liverpool manager selects the same starting XI that faced West Ham United and Crystal Palace – and retains the seven substitutes from Selhurst Park.

Liverpool team:

Alisson

Alexander-Arnold Gomez Van Dijk Robertson

Wijnaldum
Milner Keita

Salah Firmino Mane

Substitutes: Mignolet, Henderson, Sturridge, Moreno, Lallana, Shaqiri, Matip.

Title challenge talk

Jurgen Klopp was talking about how competitive the Premier League is at Melwood yesterday and how trying to win the title with Liverpool is a tougher challenge than toppling Bayern when he was at Dortmund.

As if to prove his point, Wolves went and took a point off Man City earlier. Liverpool need to ensure they take advantage by winning here tonight.

Complacency is the only real danger for Liverpool. If they play like they can then they will far too much for Brighton to handle.

Liverpool make a chance from nothing as Salah goes flying down the right wing and cuts it across to Mane who puts it wide just past the post.

Ball is whipped across the box by Andy Robertson and Firmino meets it with his head, it’s going low into the bottom right hand corner but Brighton goalkeeper Mat Ryan gets down quickly and claws it out.

Trent Alexander-Arnold inches away from giving Liverpool the lead. Hit that free-kick so sweetly and Ryan was struggling after taking a big step the other way. It ends up cannoning off the bar.

GOALLLLL!!!! Liverpool 1-0 Brighton (Salah)

Get in! Stunning finish. Bottom corner.

Milner won the ball back really well in the middle of the pitch.

Firmino picks it up and passes it across to Salah who curls it beautifully into the bottom corner with his left foot.
