yes! the shop said that it is AMAPA red back but when I did a research thru' the internet...... I cannot find any information about such strain........ Only "red back" that I found is Manacapuru strain

So..... I wouldn't know is AMAPA red back aka Manacapuru red back??

I'm afraid this is definitely not Manacapuru. The body shape is totally different. But nice fish nevertheless.

the photos showed only the male although I have another piece of female.

used to be a pair but after introducing 2 surinames into the same tank.

the male and the surinames are always sparring and the poor female red back is always bullied by the three fishes.

my 2 red backs are not longer a pair. don't think they will spawn.

anyway, i have no time to breed.
