What do you guys feed your aros? And how often?
Hi guys
I feed mine feeder guppies and car fishes. Fed him come crickets once but he refused to eat anything but crickets for very long time. Same for frogs. |

As much as possible, i avoid live feed for fear of possible disease, which anyway my current aro and my previous aro don't eat live fish. Most of the time are mp and sotongs. Live stuff like bf and sw are given once in a blue moon as treats...

I keep mine in the office and I don't have a fridge in the office so i can't feed pm or sotong. Plus my daughter loves watching him chase and eat live fish

I avoid giving live fish as feeds, it's easier for the feeder fish to transmit diseases to another fish (aro).
The only 2 live feeds I use are frogs and superworm, which are treats as I buy them once in a blue moon. Staple feed for my fish includes market prawn and pellets. For small aros, try to feed frequently in small amounts. |

Mine is roughly 10inch. My Aro is on mix diet. MP for a few days, then live feeds for another few days then BW. SW, tried to give, but after 2 or 3 pieces, it will reject. Never tried crickets or mealworms.

I feed my Aro anything that moves. Frogs, goldfish, cricket, sw, prawn, toman, guppy, Molly, tiger barb, red tilapia, lizard, cockroach, other insects that fly into my house, I all feed them. My work is too much free time on hand everyday, so will go pasir ris, clementi, hougang, Yishun to see what interesting feeders can buy to feed them. Usually feed in morning and night.
