if no direct sunlight for min ~4hrs, you will not get green water.. i think you better stick to normal filter..

I'm planning to keep one fish in each of these tubs I got, but now I'm trying to get the lamp to get the green water. I wish if I can keep them outdoors but lots of cats and they spray a lot of chemicals to kill insects so most likely the fish won't survive. |

Yes I believe so, I have seen a picture of it in a site but they don't have it there anymore and it looks like that dirty-looking green water in some ponds.
