Have not started yet. Have to wait for my 4ft tank to come before i xfer my endli and juv aro over. I received advice to do regular water change. And was told to keep bioload low with less fish and dont overfeed.

depends... got overfeeding over stocking etc.. just such small tank just water change will do and i doubt the size of the skimmer is able to do the job effectively
