from the info i could gather from their webpage http://www.cermedia.com/
marinepure blocks were available since 2010... n after spending quite some time searching online i didnt find much complains about the blocks disintergrating so i guess no need to worry too much in that regard. anyways i'm using 12 blocks of mp along with momotaro, coz of how well the blocks fit into the sump compartments. so far so good. and they have a newer product called marine pure rock.. for those who have landscaped tanks u can use those as ur rockwork n they double up as live rock too. that would really be idea for nitrates since u wont be getting high flow rate through them. |

Don't think there should be an erosion problem with a wet sump setup. Those people who have encountered erosion tend to use to blocks in high flow showers with several thousand gallons splashing onto the blocks per hour.
