i never kept red cap nor use white background tanks before.....i believe the red cap's red headgrowth will fade....1 time i put my orange ranchu in a light yellow color tub...immediately looks paler....no sure if my eyes playing tricks with me...
feel free to try....i only experimented on black ranchu and black moor....i suppose it's a good idea to use black tank and put a light so that u can still see the black goldfish.. |

So far those in my white tank the colour are still holding strong. I wonder if it's because I got light for them 24/7?
