Shrimp Setup
Hi Bros,
Want to start shrimp setup for some CRS. Can I just keep CRS with 1 ft tank, ADA soil, PL light, some moss? Will it be ok if I dun put in any filter or air pump? Thanks in advances. |

So is better to hv a filter? Will strong water current from the filter outlet stop the shrimp from moving around?

Actually it is more troublesome as shrimplets can get sucked in thru the inlet. use cover them with some sponge. Air pump is not really necessary.

No problem as mentioned by Orionwarrior. Make sure the inlet is cover up with sponge. A cooling is good too. I am able to maintain 26C with 1 big fan due to evaporation, you just have to top up water daily.

Lots of bad experience telling me superior filtration system is a must for CRS.

I won't compromise on filter too. Shrimps are one of the most sensitive aquarium pets. I won't want to save on that. Cost of shrimps are not cheap and as you get better shrimps, having one die on you after another, will add up to being more than the cost of a cannister filter. Cover the water inlet with net or sponge. It's a one time effort. |
