I m setting up my first shrimp tank with plant,wat is the ideal soil to use?Need advise from the pro here . Thanks!

Benibachi soil works well for me.

Use this GEX Shrimp and Plant soil .for 2ft tank a pkt 8kg is enough ! The rest need other sifu advise Liao . I'm jus a newbie too hehe!

So u mean use 2 type of soil mix together ?

I have bad experience for GEX soil....PH buffering for very short period only.

If not in a rush...can try using ADA soil.

As for how to add other thing. U can search the forum many bros have posted step by step.

bro ,how much to fill up a 3 ft tank ?where can get at a cheaper price ?

You might want to try using ADA New Soil. Im using it for my 2ft tank and everything works fine.

What is your tank dimension, my 3x1.5x1.5 is using 4 x packet benibachi soil.

That will depends on how thick you wants your soil. Can see my sticky in the invert forum on the soil calculation.
