Sorry to say this but it looks like the deadly "datnoid disease". A few of my ITs died due to this disease... unable to cure dispite all kinds of treatment. Usually started off with small pimples and uneven lumps around the head area. 2nd stage fish will start isolating itself at a corner and not feeding. Pop eye will develope soon after...
Can try melafix with heater treatment if you want but no guarantee cure.... Good luck bro |

I have yet to try the PP bombing treatment. Think this will be the last resort trying to cure it. Worth a try if all others dun work.
I may have another IT going to have this disease soon I guess. This time round I will use PP bombing already... |

PP = Potassium Permanganate in short. It is a fast and effectively way to eradicate harmful bacterial on the fish. However gotta be careful of the ratio as overdose will kill the fish.
Some ppl use PP bombing to restart the whole aquarium by running PP thru their filtration system. This will wipe out all good and bad bacteria. Can do a search function on this for more information. Currently my big IT already kena the disease. As it is still active and eating well, I'm still monitoring it before moving him to hospital tank for treatment. I will try out hydrogen peroxide method for local application. Already got the tools and medicacine ready just in case I have to go this route... Will take some pics or video. Hopefully I will win this battle... |
