Default Silver arowana breathing hard

Silver arowana seem breathing hard. kept opening and closing of mouth.
still eating normally. is that any problem with that?
i had increase surface aeration. water change weekly. tank mates are RTC and TSN. any advise from bros here?

do tell us your tank size and filter system ,

seem to having bad water and bioload too high , change water 10 % daily instead of weekly .

RTC produce alot of bioload

3.5x2x2ft. running on ohf and canister. media around 3l of cr and 12biorod. noted on the daily water change. should i remove rtc?

How much are you changing water weekly each time? Size of your silver n RTC? Any water conditioner added when intro new water?

Do check if you've added the adequate dosage of water conditioner...
Assuming water parameters are okay, my guess would be chlorine burn.
Also i don't think you have to remove the RTC.

Just need to change water about 30%, add some salt and increase the air rate.

Dun save on the anti chlorine. Veri important .

Once awhile it happened to my Aro breathing hard on the surface. I immediately add one more dose of anti-chlorine directly into tank and it always recovered.

water change 40% weekly. using nutrafun aquaplus water conditioner. 10pumps every water change. chlorine burn? is it possible that new water introduce was too fast? i remove my rtc. sliver around 17inch.
