Default Redtail Catfish won't eat sinking pellets

Are there any cheap option that i can buy to feed my catfish ?

bro, how big is your RTC? Maybe you can try feeding frozen bloodworms if your catfish is small. Alternatively, you can try cutting those market prawns into small pieces to feed it. You might also want to test your water parameters to see if all's well. Rest of your fishes eating? If so, then it might not be used to the pallets... yet. Or it may still be settling down.

thanks for the input, yes the rest of the fieshes are eating only my rtc seem to be hiding in a pipe

Is it too many fishes in your tank that stress your rtc? Give it time to adjust.

I used to keep rtc...
Mine was like never stop feeding, if you never feed them

Maybe he needs more time to get used to your tank if you have newly purchased him. Or you can try feeders for a start .

2 week ago i add in ghost/feeder shrimp in my tank my rtc grown abit

from the size of a children pinky finger become the size of a thumb

May also depends on what type of sinking pellet you using.

The better brands has got strong "smell" to attract their appetite.

Remember using cheapo goldfish sinking pellet, they don't eat, hikari they do .

as he grow bigger, stuff pellet inside fish or sotong n feed , slowly they get use to the pellet taste and will eat.

last resort, let him go real hungry ( say 1 week no food) then introduce the pellet.
