Talking No More English Test For Maids

finally .... after all the noise from the bus captain Ding Dong's case, the govt capitulates and scraps the unpopular, irrelevant, what-the-f@ck-for test

next, shoot for the maid levy

Maid levy should be scrapped and the money goes to the maid, this will prevent maid from stealing employers money and corruption free.

levy is about social costs - from economist view.

but layman do not understand social costs - they only see it coming from their pockets.

govt must explain why the levy and what it is used for.

write to straits time leh and see how they response.

Pay more maid levy than salary to the maid.

The maid scrubs, cleans, irons, prepare meals, washes clothes....it's a damn hard life. My heart goes out to the maids, they are the reason we can have more quality time.

What will the maid levy do to the welfare of citizens, tell me, please tell me.

Alamak this garment I really give up.... to take a leaf from Tin Tin...I don know what to say!

I am not sure the formula can be so simple ... ... transfer from levy to government to maid and therefore no more stealing.

Really so simple I will pay double levy to the maid.
