lets see the results tomorow.
Just curious, are u getting algae problem at 0.5mg/L of PO4 in yout tank? Or are u just trying to lower PO4 as much as possible?

Default 5th sept update

i have measured the po4 once again. the results are as follows:
1) the color is slightly lighter than before, but still at the o.5 mg/l mark.

i have positioned the filter bag higher so as to absorb the po4 directly, will measure po4 again tonight to chk whether things improve drastically.

if so, then it could be my improper usuage of the pdt that caused slow reduction of po4.
if not, then the pdt is not as powerful as it claims to be. i dun reckon it is the amount of media i used, becos it is stated that 500ml for 2000litre in seawater application.

i used 150ml.

it is high. however, i have gd control of algae growth becos i dun overfeed. in fact i only have 2 fishes in my tank.
the tank is primarily dedicated to corals only.
the po4 mainly comes from top up water as i dun have ro/di unit. too expensive to consider and dunno which brand to use. plus difficult to find reliable ones.

I think it is better to use it with a FR,manage to bring down my PO4 in just 24hrs time from 1ppm to 0ppm.
