Please do not think that our bros here r not helpful, just that we r amateurs and may not be able to provide pro advice.. Anw, being a "Guo Lai Ren" in NPS, let me try.. Possible Diagnosis: Bio filter not established and bio-load keep increasing due to new purchases. That can be seen in unconverted ammonia and nitrite. Possible reaction from kois: Appearance of red veins, parking and listlessness - high ammonia and nitrite can be lethal! Possible solution: 1. Water change - to reduce ammonia and nitrite (rem to add water conditioner!) Beware that some conditioner releases ammonia when converting chloramines! 2. S1 - to de-stress kois 3. 0.3% salt - to reduce toxicity of nitrite poisoning 4 Stop feeding! - reduce ammonia production! Well bro, please pardon me if this doesn't work k? I am also a hobbyist. Always willing to share.. |

Thanks Sleepy for your reply.
I change 10% of the pond water with tap water add in Seachem Prime Conditioner, added in 2 tablespoons of salt. After 1hr, reading as follow: PH 7.7 NH4/NH3 0.5mg/l NO2 0.5mg/l NO3 0mg/l My reading have improved right ? Guess yesterday all water parameters are at it's peak! |

Catch this Chagoi back home today.
About 20cm long, so will be the leader of those kois in my tank. Better tide my hand and tell myself not to buy anymore already |

Bro, you mentioned this pond only set-up for about 2 weeks.
Be patient to let media/ filter settle down and mature. New set-up easily take 1 month plus to settle down. Another 1 to 2 month to mature. Mean time, just continue to feed but moderate. And don't add in expensive collection first. |

Does water plants and moss ball bring down the NO2?
