Added in some more plants behind and now my small pond is ready. But i got a big headache now, water that spray out from the frog very noisy despite I turn the pump to lower, any suggestion on how should I do ? If I turn it off, left with only the filter to run the job and create movement inside the water, must I put in another air pump to create oxygen in the water for my small kois next week?

Thanks

Hi Bro,

Last night I measured the pH, reading at 8.3, very high right? How to bring it down to the ideal pH???

WoW! Now I realised that our tap water have a high pH of 8.5.

Thanks

Your PH is a little bit high. Some kois may not take it which may cause them to flash or jump. You measured just after adding water? Try to monitor for another 1-2 days. If it doesn't come down, then can maybe remove some coral chips/oyster shells to monitor again. Else you can add some PH buffer (I'm using Seachem Goldfish) to bring down the PH and monitor again. BTW, you got calibrate your PH meter/pen hor?

Just bot a bottle of API Proper pH7.5 to bring the pH down. Will it be harmful to fish if I going to introduce 2 small kois in the pond tomorrow?

If PH is within range then it should be ok.

Thanks for all the compliments.

Sad! Bot home 5pcs of small Kois from Nippon, 2 jump out from the pond, I did cover with wire mesh, but they just jump out between the gap connecting to the filter.
