Gluing is too much of a problem and you never know whether the glue/silicon has any toxins that might affect the water and subsequently the fishes. Thanks!

Anyway, i solved the problem! Went down to the hardware store with a measuring tape after measuring the diameter of the outlet on the base tray. Here are the results! Thank you everyone who replied, really appreciate it!
