If you practice large amount of water change of more than 50% do invest in good AC.

Try not to go beyond 40% WC weekly. Direct fm tap to top up shld be fine. Just add AC dosage equivalent to full tank capacity first and go slow in topping up water.

Get a good AC is very important !

Can age if you want and can also top up from tap directly. If is the former, add ac according to wc volume and for the latter, add ac according to tank volume.

Use a reliable water conditioner will be suffice during waterchange.

Also to observe the fish after water change, whether it still behaving normally and lively in contrary to stoned, listless, breathing hard will tell if you doing right or not.

As for dosing beneficial bacteria after water change depend on your tank condition. If your tank water is not so clear or with lots of algae is good to boost up the bacteria by dosing.
