For those who said cb breed endi cant grow big in a tank. I had this fellow for the past 18yr, it has been the alpha female in the 4ft tank. It is always the first to swim to.catch feeders and eat smaller bichirs I added. Now it is estimated 20inch or more in my tank and is till eating greedily.
problem is no male willing to mate with her as they are only slightly more than half her size. |

No idea, I am keeping a close watch on this piece. I am seeing how long i can keep it. This is the only 1 I kept so long with the nicest pattern. Other bichirs only kept 5-13yrs. Some not so nice ones I sold liao, some died. I believe the size is not only 20inch, as I see it more than 3/4 of the width of my 2.5ft tank. Got chance I will measure it.

Counting back maybe is only 16yrs for this endi, not 18yrs.
Anyone still have the early batches of endi that hit sg back then? Cost was $100± back then. I still got 2 guinea laps from cichlid forever(closed liao many yrs). |
