he still swim around but station 1 corner more often than swimming around.... eating less also..... maybe 1-2 frogs + 1-2 pieces of cut prawn a day, only once think he 1 week no eat, i bought frogs and he makan about 15 1 shot then go back square one the next day

last time he eats about 12-15 baby frogs a session....

noticed he started hiding when i added a 10 inch male motoro ray... this is the 2nd ray in the tank... the female was similar size....initially when add female ray also like this but for 1 week only.. now this one about 1 month liao... just wait it out and see what happens

Thank you for all your replies. I lower the water level to half .stop the sump tank. He still not improving. Park at one corner sometimes swim one round. eat less than before. Should i top the water to on sump tank as the tank got no filter. I am in dilemma.

Seriously just run your system as usual, don't over think, sometimes that will make things worse. Just continue water changes and when she's ready to eat and get back to normal...she will.

The scales will heal, she will eventually eat and start swimming again. I think everyone has their own experiences with their fish. Listen to advice but know that it will be different for everyone.

The only thing that everyone is right on is water params, keep the water changes, leave the water level so that you can run the sump for filtration and drop food, if she doesn't eat, take it out.

Good luck bro.

if yours is like mine, maybe will take abit longer....

mine happened roughly on 20th March, these 2-3 days he started being more active and his appetite came back..... morning session 2-3 frogs, evening session 15-20 frogs and/or prawn.... lol

I noticed mine now swimming actively at night when tank light on .... but during day time (mine is all black oyama covered except front)and tank light off, he usually stay 1 corner or come out for short swim...

I never do anything special... just continue 2 - 3 times weekly water change, lower water height by 2 inches as he keep hitting the top and dropping scales...

hope this helps

just a thought bro.. i know it may not be possible since most of us are working during the day..

instead of feeding him alot of frogs in one seating maybe can release the frogs 1-2 at a time.. throughout the whole day? encourage his.. hunting mood

for my aro, i will only feed him after i get back home after work in the evening.. one "large" meal..

when his super full he will just park himself infront of the wavemaker and just swim at the same spot.. "cruise control"

but on weekends when im home..i will feed him in two times (smaller meals) and realised he is more active throughout the day

like the shifus said, i think most impt is to have good water and your aro will improve
