an acrylic tank might actually cost more than a glass one.. further more.. it is not as strong in the long term

hrmm .. the pricing is reasonable, I last heard that his 4ft cost $2k, maybe I'm misinformed.

The only thing bad about arcylic is that it scratches easily and it will wrap/melt under MH if the bulb is too close.

Hi Guys!

I just need to clarify some questions.

Scratches:-
Yes acrylic scratches easily, that why care must be taken when cleaning, rescaping etc... but It Can be removed even with your life stock in. Glass cannot.

Heat From MH:-
When designing an acrylic tank it is very importain for me to know where and how many MH your gonna use. I will then design the top bracing with the access holes just below your MH. Some guys also place a ventalation fan in their hood to cool the hood area.

The 3ft quote:-
12mm is the minium thickness but some guys still wanted a 10mm quote just for refference. A good thickness for a 3ft is actually 15mm. But the price is high.

The 4ft quote:-
Maybe it's some one else but I don't recall mentioning 4ft is 2K.

Acrylic Display Tank Viewing:-
Soon I'll be doing a 3ft display tank in my office at Tampines, behing SAFRA, and all you guys are welcome to come and take a look. Coffee, Milo or cold water will be provided.

Need more info, do let me know!
