I think you can find good orandas from any LFS but the chance of finding one is quite remote. In the case of Samgoldfish, his mission is to source only the very best goldfish and that is why the brookers in Thailand will go high and low far and wide throughout Thailand to source for him. Some farms takes almost 6 hours to reach from Bangkok. Farms are all over Thailand and good goldfish can be found in almost every farm. The question is "who is getting the good ones?"
I must say I have seen good orandas in QH and Rainbow, the question is the ability to spot them early and also have an eye for a future fish. |

What you had comment make a lot of sense. But Qianhu or Rainbow bring in Oranda either with big head small body or elongated body. I personally would like a black oranda, but just could not get one that is compact enough with decent finnage to match.
