Anyhow, gongxi gongxi to your tesm, afterall, still a successful and healthy harvest. Better than having to incubate them manually... How I wish my pond of almost 9 year old reds have similar output lor.

It's really an eye opening experience for many, especially on Singapore's Red.

3 Cheers to you !!!

Simon
Hello Simon, yes you are right. Our TS Red harvesting approach is quite different from nearly all the farms in Singapore.

One of my guiding practices is that I am of the belief that the father arowana does a much better job of looking after and naturally incubating the eggs through to free-swimming fry. Compared with the artificial approach (human intervention incubation approach), my observation is that the resulting fry are generally much "stronger" and more "hardy".

Our approach is quite intensive, more involved and may not be universally applicable. Thus probably why not practiced by most farms.

Thanks for your well-wishes and I hope all goes well for your reds.

cheers,
Terry

Hi bro rtgaroaro, the usage of the tanks is part of our brooding/harvesting approach.

Thank you for the kind note on our quality brooders.

cheers,
Terry

Hi bro Lovefish,

Appreciate the encouragement on the outcomes of our breeding program. Thank you.

We feed a variety of different food for different stages of growth for our juveniles. It ranges from small guppies (that we breed ourselves), bloodworm, mealworm and market prawn.

cheers,
Terry

Hello Dennis - fortunately we are less impacted, but is always good to have option/s available.

Let me know if you have any good recommendations.

cheers,
Terry

Honestly this is the first time I've seen aro father swimming peacefully with their fries. Your concept/approach is commendable and I believe too that fries that went thru the full process of mouth-brooding will grow up stronger and more hardy. Thanks for sharing!
