Water treatment tank.

About 45kg of chloramine specific catalytic carbon should treat well over 4 million litres of water at our chloramine concentration. Enough to fill my pond a few hundred times over. No cartridges to replace for the next 5-8 years. There is even a local supplier for the carbon refill. Think it costs about S$800 to refill based on 3cf.

Cost me about US$1.1k including $70 shipping. I love Ebay's Global Shipping Program.

If you do the math, this is considerably cheaper than using bottled dechlorinator or little cartridge sets that need replacement every few months.

That said, I will be installing a small 2 stage cartridge set behind this tank to filter out loose carbon particles.

Bio filtration shower in place for fitting. Will be cutting a hole in the deck for the water to fall through.

Loaded in 20gals of marinepure 1.5" spheres last night. Will soon load up the carbon filter. Still need some fittings to come in for the water fill assembly.

Video! More to come. Work is still being done - the aeration system isn't finished, and the shower manifold is not installed as some epoxy work needs curing.

Pumps running at 1/6 capacity btw. 150w each, total 300w for this much water movement.

Using a new type of DC pump from Blue Eco. Supposed to be ultra efficient vs old school AC pumps.

Fully programmable with 24hr schedule and capable of variable speed running from 800 - 2850 rpm
