Actually 2 pieces also can but may be too heavy for you to carry home. Try to go for 5mm to make sure that warping doesnt occur but of course there are some who used 3mm and encountered no problems too.

i think 3 pieces will be easier for future maintenance and placing in also. can imagine how hard it will be to remove the pieces underwater

Need how many pc up to u .... for your info my tank is 6.5ft L X 2.5ft W and 2 pc can go in easily ! Let me REPEAT how to measure again .... First get ur tank outer dimension lenght and width Ur case Length is 7ft = 84 inch ( 84 " minus off both side 6 " bracing = 78 " ) READ PROPERLY HOH ! Then 78" see how many pc u want to divide . E.G now 78" convert to mm first = 1982mm ( then u split to eg half = 991 mm per pc , so now u got 2 pc of 991mm , get it ? ) Then u will need to minus off both pc off about 5mm each side for some gap . Can catch up ? So now u got 2 pc Lenght 986 mm . For your Width part same Width is 28 " 28" minus both side total 6" bracing = 22" 22" convert to mm = ( 559 mm ) width gap allowance just minus around 3mm So ur width is 556mm . For the EOS part .... u cannot follow my drawing 385mm already cause ur width is 2" smaller . Just climb up ur tank and measure how i draw out in post 85 !!! Measure from ur top bracing outer edge to ur EOS slant part EOS . PS ( To all those pm , i really dun have time to come up with all the different measurement for u guys ! ) Just go through how i measure and the picture posted here in this thread . Its not that difficult , JUST SEE MY DIAGRAM AND VISUALIZE AND MEASURE FROM UR TANK TOP !!! Have fun measuring guys , really not that difficult !!! |
