The bone will be regenerated. No problem with that.

I have since brought him to a vet however she isn't specialized in reptiles or aquatic pets but still passed me a pets use flavine citing iodine powder may be too strong for an open wound like this.

First time the pair fought till such an extent. Normally just some nibs here and there.

guys, need some advise.. got a PNT a little over a month ago with shell problems.. at first I thought it was just some slime or something in the shell that can just be brushed off so when I got it home I brushed its shell with toothbrush and managed to get some slime off but after that I saw that its shell really has some problems..

Seems that it has certain discoloration and ridges and pits.. I then though that it could be a diet and might have been kept in bad conditions so planned to just provide clean water and proper diet (feds with hikari algae wafers) but after about a month not really much improvement..

So need some advise what you guys think this is and how to deal with it?

Doesn't seem very serious to me bro. Just add a little salt and maintain good water quality it will heal in no time.

think the shell suffered some disease attack before thats why looks like that.

be careful not sure if your PNT will attack your pleco or not..

Halo all, my RES has grown quite big, about 7" by shell length. Thinking of putting in big container (maybe FGT?) outside my HDB unit. Any bro is having such arrangement? Safe to do so?

I have got a 6ft fgt in my house but not outside. Don't think its a good idea to put it outside u can get fined for overweight issues if the fgt is too big and also for obstruction of the common corridor

Indoor got space constraint. This is why I thinking of putting outside. I stay on level with 2 units facing each other, not a common long corridor.
