Hi guys. Here I have my 13 year old PNT injured after it got into a fight with its pair.

I have since separated them and applied iodine powder directly on its wound.
I worry thou that it may not be the best solution she would like to have advise on what is the best kind of medication suited now and if I should wrap his flipper up for a little bit.

Iodine should be fine. Can add salt into the water too. The wounds don't look very bad. As long as they don't get infected, it should recover pretty fast.

Newbie question.. Wad do u guys feed ur pnt say 4/5incher?.. I give lettuce and fbw but I dun see it eating tho coz too shy I guess...but food gone, prob the small kois ate them?... I nod u can't give them protein rich food..like feeders etc. I do throw in floating and sinking pellets for tortoises ... Just nv seen it eat

U can try commercially available turtle food I personally recommend Hikari turtle sticks or algae waffles. Why not hand feed the pnt fruits? It's a fun and reassuring experience to know that your pnt had its fill

Looks like there is a broken bone... It should heal fast with proper water quality. But the broken bone part, I am not too sure about that. Did u bring it to the vet?

Thank you Everyone for the replies and concern.

I have since brought him to a vet however she isn't specialized in reptiles or aquatic pets but still passed me a pets use flavine citing iodine powder may be too strong for an open wound like this.

First time the pair fought till such an extent. Normally just some nibs here and there.
