Hey guys,

Kept my pnt in a tub. Didn't change water for awhile.

Was a little shocked to see that the water colour was the colour of methylene blue.

Transferred my pnt into a different tank, but now his beak/mouth is stained bluish. Washing with water doesn't get it off.

Any ideas how to get the blue stain off?

Thanks

Clean his mouth with baking soda solution?

What do you have in the tub that can cause the water to turn blue? I doubt there is any way to wash it off except to wait for the colour to fade off.

I honestly have no idea what made the water blue. The tub is in the balcony where it receives sunlight. But don't think algae is blue. Did see some blue stains on the wire insulation on the wall, so think that it could have came from outside of the tub.

The colour will fade off from its mouth eventually?

Depends on what chemical that is. Better to stop the whatever blue liquid that is leaking into the tub.

How bad is it on the mouth? Any pics?

I have transferred him to a different tank where there are no leaks and have drained all the water from the tub.

Will try to take a photo

I think the blue water is algae water. Most of the stain has faded from its mouth and claws after just a few days in the new tank
