I really think they need to walk ...... make their presence felt, door to door, celebrations, temples, wakes ....... the lot .... let the electorate, the very voters they want to vote for them know who they are .....

ya.. presently, its pretty unstructured.. there is no mechanism, no machinery to do this.
maybe they can form Resident's Associations or maybe get started from some beach heads like going around with those already in office...

yes. there is such thing. and it is pretty common. i have of friends whom stay yishun, but GRL of somewhere pretty south and sembawang has GRL that is from jurong. boon lay.

these are people whom volunteer for passion. they got roped in because of the club they are in which resides in the place they contribute as a GRL

GRL volunteer doesn't have to be like those whom PLP. just need to have the heart. often they started of as members whom join for activities. as time grows, they will be invited to join volunteer groups. once they are groomed, they will be invited to join GRL. those spotted ones will climb slowly. but some climb with the heart to help but other climb with hidden agenda.

i climbed half way, realised not the right ladder for me. jumped down at a pretty hurtful height.... now back crawling on the floor
