Dipping my toes into planted nano tanks again....

also with the fan switched on now when the light is on, i am able to grow mini pelia now... was wondering why is it always dying.. now realize its the high temp generated when the light is on. water was quite warm.

Not much to update since I came back to office and found my tank with a case of green water Had to go buy a HOB + UV filter and am running it now to clear the green water from the tank. I've also lowered the light to 75% instead of 100%

2 weeks from planting and HC is bubbling but not spreading. I came across a different foreground plant and decided to try this one instead:



I will do the replanting probably tomorrow or whenever the water is clear again.

In other news, the chiller is working great! The only issue is that I can't tune the thermostat, so it's about 1 degree different from my thermometer. I set it to 22 degrees, so it will kick off at 23 degrees and stop at 22 degrees. This corresponds to 23-24 degrees on my thermometer. It takes about 25 minutes to cool the tank down 1 degree, and it kicks in once every 2-2.5 hours during office hours, maybe more frequent when the office air con is switched off over the weekends.

No la bro, don't say better. All our tanks are nice, or else we won't keep them

I also got poisoned by other threads that's why end up buying so much! I bust the budget many many times on this tank already haha. At first just supposed to be high tech planted with some fish, then got poisoned on CRS...then newbie dunno how to keep go and buy all the BW additives... zzzz
