It is illegal to import Koi into Japan, once they've gone they've gone.

The Koi which featured highly at the Asia Koi Cup had all had their day in Japan as far as shows were concerned. Please don't read that as they were past their best. Tepsits Sanke was my tip for All Japan GC in 2008!

Gd morning,

Tks for yr highlight,i did not know that they cant go vack home after they left.I was thinking that Kois out for local or other competitions ealse where round the globe can be brought back to Japan to continue their grooming.

this is to prevent bringing in virus which can compromise their livelihood
