Hi Markus, thanks for your interest. As you can see this is a brick/cement rendered foundation but painted with a blue pond sealer specially made for fish pond use hence it's not toxic after washing it with just dish washer, rinsed and filled with water then after one week I dumped half water and refilled to max. PH was measured for a few days during that adjustment period and I did add some PH down occasionally until it remained stable. I remembered it always stayed up closed to 10 after I added the KH generator.

GW set in later but once my box filter matured and internal algae formed after more than a month the water became clear since. I hope that helps but also depends whether your pond is the same material.

The contractor din't tell me much due to contract binding cause im a 3rd party who just wishes to add fish in i did get the all green from the main party though, guess ill just have to test the water regularly before releasing and put in some seeded material to speed up the process Thanks for ur help

OK, just add some cheapies in there first when you think everything measures up. If after one week no fish get sick or die then it should be OK. IMHO PH is the one parameter to watch, next is ammonia. Have fun.
