Hi bro,

It is a misconception that most people would have when we talk about IR. IR (infrared) is not the overall heat that comes in. In order to understand overall heat rejection, we need to look at TSER (Total Solar Energy Rejected). TSER is the accurate description of measuring overall heat rejection.

This is because solar spectrum constitutes the following:
1. UV (Ultraviolet) : 2%
2. VLT (Visible Light Transmitted) : 49%
3. IR (Infrared) : 49%

The lighter the tint of the film meaning more sunlight passes thru, the less the overall heat rejection too.

In the case of the above, TSER is 68%. Therefore, even though IRR is 100% (@1400nm) the amount of sunlight passes thru together with the amount of heat being absorbed on the glass (film after installed) still have more than 30% heat transmitted into the room.

Hope this explains

Regards,

Shaun

Benefits of installing solar film:

- Minimise heat entering your house
- Reduce sun glare (vision comfort)
- Enhance privacy
- Prolong furnishing's life-span
- Save energy when you use lesser aircon

Hi bro,

Long time no chat In order for us to quote accurately, we need to drop by for a measurement of all the required windows. Base on my experience on 4rm flat, I have measured as little as 85sqf and as much as 160sqf.

We have a wide range of films for you to select depending on your requirement. Our film prices range from $3.80 to $19.00psf. So depending on your surface area and requirement, we will propose accordingly after a site survey.

Regards,

Shaun

Hi bro,

Generally, the base colour of all our films are either grey or charcoal. Some series have tinge and blue and some may have tinge of green. However, the main colour is grey or charcoal base.

Regards,

Shaun
