Thanks for all the comments. I've modified the part on Body Straightness as I think the original text is not very clear. Here's the revised text below.
Body Straightness - Trace a line from fish snout to the middle height at the end of the peduncle, i.e. where the caudal begins - Locate the point where the dorsal is first attached to the body. Draw an imaginary vertical line and locate the half body height along this vertical line - Straight body: If this line (snout to middle height at the end of peduncle) passes exactly over the half body height - Curved body: If this line (as above) passes anywhere below the half body height in the lower half of the body - Humpback: If this line (as above) touches the lower edge of the peduncle or below - Flat body: If this line (as above) passes above the half body height Last edited by KeeHuat; 16-02-2011 at 05:53 PM. |

There is a tool that enables quick checking of guppies in competitions to Internationales Kuratorium Guppy Hochzucht (IKGH) Guppy Show Standards. This was kindly given to me by a top breeder in UK. There are templates for different sizes as marks are awarded/deducted for their sizes. The fantail and deltatail are shown here.
