Question After surgery on Curl gill

Hi.
My arowana had surgery on Dec and today has been 2 months.
I don't see the soft gill reborn but the curl still there, is there anyway I can improve my arowana?

How bad was the gill curl prior to surgery?
Seems like surgery done on both sides?

Apart from frequent water change
Try adding a few wavemakers/in-tank filters

Observe
Good luck
