day 16 of cycling.
Does that mean the cycling is complete.
Few days back the ammonia was zero, nitrite at 5ppm and nitrate at 20ppm. hmmm.. so fast meh! all new medias.
Anyway, my PH is 7.9. super high! my aro is waiting to enter the tank badly!

Too slow. Put in more gold fish or mini koi to drum up the nitrates to 80ppm.

BB multiply faster at ph 7ish to 8 so yours is optimum that's why it cycled fast. another reason is u have huge water volume in comparison to your bioload.. i'll usually cycle the tank with the same amount of bioload as my final setup to be safe. cause if u add a considerable amount of fish now, the sudden increase in bioload will cause a mini cycle coz the existing amount of BB cannot cope. but if u're only adding 1 aro then shouldnt be any issue.

nice spacious new home for your lucky aro
