hi bro..nice tanksetup...
just my opinion...its good to reduce the wattage of ur lightings...or if not, don on the lights for a long period.... none of the above flora require strong lightings and esp running as a low tech..not worth to invite the growth of algae....just having hair algae is enough to destroy all the mosss...... |

Thanks bro for your compliment.

The lights will only be switched on for 4 hours a day. Come to think of it, I think I will ask my friend to add excel to play it safe. Last edited by JadeIceGreen; 20-10-2008 at 07:08 PM. |

Thats the idea bro, more hideout places means happier shrimps, means more babies!

There are some caves, just that my camera sucks with a 10cm limit on macro. I may be doing more reef setups soon, but not in such a big tank, will keep in mind to add more caves. Thanks for your compliment and good feedback! Thanks so much for the kind words. |

No no.. i dun mean more caves.. i meant highlight e caves more.. ie. dun cover the whole cave with moss.. leave some parts of e caves exposed. meaning can see more of e hardscape.. reef setup is diff from planted... usually dun achieve e "lawn" effect... show more hardscape and highlight certain areas with e plants u wan, like "sprouting out" betw 2 rocks or something...
but in any case, i always look forward to ur setups... a job well done. |
