Default Ranchu difficulty

Hi all. Want to try my hand at fish keeping again after 4 year break.

A general qn, do ranchus require a lot more upkeep than regular fancy goldfish? i.e. require more WC, better water perimeters.

just to make the discussion more relevant, these are the equipment i will be using

1. 3-4 fish (def not all ranchus)
2. 3ft tank. (bare bottom like my girlfriend) =)
3. Eheim 350 x1
4. air pump x1
5. sinking pellets

Appreciate all inputs, and also a Merry Christmas to all!

What's the damage for a decent Ranchu in Sg? And I dont mean those show grade Ranchus. Just decent looking ones.

Will $30 - $50 be a good range to keep my budget at?

Depends on what type of Ranchu u wanna keep. Side view or top view. Top view ranchu can be very costly but if u are not going for show grade then it can be very cheap.

Defo SVR. Dont have the space for a pond for TVRs heh.

Correct me if im wrong, but those $3 ones prolly will not have a strong gene pool of the famous Black Thai Ranchus right? Color will fade when they grow bigger/older
