If you are looking for fish that can grow to huge size then the price is not cheap,...
I always wonder is it possible for those normal price young goldfish able to grow to those sizes that are priced at $xxx?

That's common sense. Could you post a pic of a ranchu and tag the price you are willing to pay for it, as an example?

Chances are very slim or not at all. I believe not all the offsprings from a pair of big-sized breeders will grow up to the size like their parents. The potential pieces are pick up by the farm breeders after a few selections. The rest that are not selected at different stage of selection will be sent to lfs & sold at different price tag.

Just my guessing

Your assumption is correct. Breeders will retain the best pieces for future breeding. The only exception is when they have huge surplus of AAA grade then they may let some go at higher price. Just ask yourself the same question - if you are running a fish farm, would you sell your best fish? The answer is unlikely.

IMHO, it is possible if it is kept in a 10 ton pond. Of course, you have to buy a lot of them as not many will grow that big.

Ya actually is best to have a big tank to groom plus lots of water change... but as long as u dun choose those stunt goldfish wif big eyes n short body most can grow up to at least 15cm n above
