Hi Ben,

Occelatus, I think, is the only shellies which will dare attack and bite your fingers when you try to remove their shell or simply when doing maint. inside the tank.
Got it all the times I beg all those who have kept occelatus before should have exp. this nasty attack by these buggers, I got the shock of my life

This was the main reason why they became my first group of Tanganyika cichlids collection, back in 2003. Can't resist their character.

Remember those days when CF was still at Simon Road... I bought my first pair of Ocellatus Gold.

I remember them...good old days. about the nasty attack when disturb the shells is a common feedback even from Jason when discussing with him.

Those are multies fries

I know, you must have noticed their yellowish dorsal, yah ?

Infact, fries of the similis, multies & also the caudo looked very much alike.
