Default Reef Coral LED Strip 445 nm BLUE Actinic Light

Hi hope someone can help me find LED strips.

I have been to SLS but I cannot seem to find Reef Coral LED Strip 445 nm BLUE Actinic Light for my marine tank.

Also is there much of a diff between 440 nm, 450 nm and 453 nm ?

The closest I can find is in US ebay....

If I order a 16ft or 5m reel (445nm 250 lumens per LED), would anyone like to share ? I would only need 4ft.

But you would need to go Sim Lim Tower or other places to get the LED strip wired up (wire + 12V adapter).

The price is USD10 per feet (excl transport, shd be only ard USD 25).
It would be around USD 100 + USD 10 for 10ft (5m less 4ft).

Bro, you can try buying T8 LED tubes (replacements for Fluorescent tube lights) , they cost only 30 dls and they come in various kelving temperature colour ( from warm light 2500k), white light (6000 k) and ultra white (7500 k).

Those two contacts can sell you The T8/T5 LED tubes. Simply remove the acrylic dome and you can power them directly from your 220v wall supply

Bro...thanks but care to read carefully please :

1. "flexible" LED strips, to stick on shelf or base of aquarium cover
2. 453nm or near, in this case 445nm "actinic" blue stunners

I am trying to make a LED lamp based on the 1st pic u shown, if based on 2 strips for 2ft (inside is encased with SMD LEDs). But SG does not have 453nm or 445nm SMD LEDs on sale.

Your pic might be a 4ft with 2 warm white + 1 bright white as seen on reflection on water. Used for freshwater tank.

You are correct, Im using 4ft lenght. I would encourage you to use this T8 LED tubes rather than LED strips for two reasons:
This tubes already have a nice anodized Aluminum support that assists the LEDs to cool down.
With this solution I propose, you do not need to use a 12V DC power supply.

I used combination of temperature colors only to test how fish look under different wavelengths of light.

I see what you mean, you probably would need to find something on color temperature higher than 10000 Kelvin

I was using LED stripe lighting and finally decided to replace it

1) the intensity was not strong even though I got the stronger among the stripe,

2) in order to create the intensity I have to loop a few rounds

3) with the increased loop, the heat increases and water became warm.

4) have to add on other colours like white to create a balance of light spectrum.

5) whole costs for a 2ft tank lighting cost more than $120 (exclude shipping fees and got it at super discounted rate. $80 for 5 blue and 50 for 5 white with water resist tube (did it before LED prices drop)

Just bought a marine LED light and very satisfied with the outcome.

Just sharing from my humble experience.
