The answer: it depends on what the PAP does. If it is gentlemanly and walks away without being destructive, then we can survive.
If it goes out of the way to be destructive and obstructive, we will be doomed. |

Look. I find that people like you only look near and not far. Weigh what I have to say and then decide if your statement is fair.
1) The ruling party has majority of seats in parliament. Asking the opp to form a government is unrealistic. They cannot perform if they form a government overnight. Everyone knows that. 2) By electing more opp candidates into parliament, it gives them a chance to serve and thus gain experience. When a day comes when MIWs are unable to perform to the people's expectations, we can then leverage on the experience of the oppostion to our advantage. We are in a win-win situation. Isnt this beneficial to us? 3) What line are you in? Do you feel complacent when there is no competition around you? Competition spurs progress isnt it? Or are you simply a yes man who allows others to dictate what you should or should not be doing? Commentators. It's easy to just sit along the sidelines and comment on things which they are not interested in or simply have no idea about. |

Why not? The infrastructure is there already.
Which I think the old guards definitely deserves credit for. But ... Maybe not totally no pap. The current opp will need opp when they become the ruling party too. |
