MR was the worst performer of the night. His performance truly has taken a nose dive. Once again it was DDG that saved us from defeat plus VAR was kind this time, denying AS a good goal. The fans really hates Stevie G with all the booing.
Aston Villa bossed the midfield for most of the game and if we to be challenging for the 4th spot, we desperately need to improve on this department. Almost every team we played so far, the battle is lost in the midfield, thus the missed 3 points
When will Greenwood and Rashford ever learn to pass the ball instead of always wanting to take shots. They have to improve on this part of their game cos they wasted many chances for the team to score

Time for DVDB to force his way out. Last game Rangnick praised him yet refused to start him. Without Pogba and Scotty yet Donny cannot be picked?
Why sign Sancho when he cannot even find his place in the starting XI

HT we lead 1-0 after BF's goal gifted by Villa's goalie
Good first half by the lads and surprising only 1 British player in the team.

BF scored his 2nd goal after assist by Fred.
This 2nd half Villa has started to pick up their game

Honestly MR totally not missed in this game, nor is HM's absence felt at all
DDG has been excellent. keeping us in the game with few good saves

2-2 now. Villa is looking great with Coutinho introduction with a goal and an assist

Poor to let a 2 goal lead slip.

The energy level dropped in the second half. Matic is too slow now.

I think Rangnick had been naďve blowing away 2-0 lead with 20mins to go.
Villa was already picking up in the 2nd half and with the intro of the Brazilian genius by SG Rangnick should have taken off Fred and Matic as the midfield was being overrun. And as usual Donny was introduced at the 88th min!!!
Cavani was totally not given any service by the midfield

Martial has been weak mentally and don't know what is going on inside his head.

Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick has confirmed that Anthony Martial did not want to play in Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Aston Villa as he seeks a January transfer.

The Red Devils were missing several attackers for the trip to Villa Park, with Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcus Rashford both carrying injuries, yet Martial – who is fit for selection – was not named in the matchday squad, with United only able to name eight substitutes.

Asked about his lack of subs, and if Martial was the reason, Rangnick explained: ‘Yes, he didn’t want to be in the squad.

‘He would have been in the squad normally but he didn’t want to, and that’s the reason why he was not travelling with us yesterday.’
