Unhappy Newly Set Up 1ft CRS Tank

Got poisoned by shrimps recently and hence....

My 1ft planted tank

Total of 15 Occupants

A close up with one fella

The shrimps are doing fine but the plants not too good

Can any bro share how to maintain the plants? What is essential for their growth? I do add CO2 tablets into the tank.

Looks like it's HC. HC require cold temp and co2. But u gt to look out if u're geting co2 set, as co2 will affect ur ph. Btw nice shrimps u had there. Hope it breed soon.

1ft tank for CRS is a challenge.
What soil are you using and how are you keeping the water temperature cool, aircon room, fan?

Im using H.E.L.P Advanced Soil. (Is this the ada soil some bros were mentioning?) Temp-wise, erm., i did not have any chiller. Using a simple external filter to make artificial waterfall.

Erm, they are pebble-like. Not exactly rock/stone, but will take note of that.

Is it because it will affect the pH?
