Hi mediacraze
What your opinion of mixing the green pkt with purple or the red pkt, which both are for color enhancement? Should I mix them to feed the GF at the same time or should I alternate for the varities? |

Bro,
I can't said which is better as I have not tried feeding mine with color enhancement pellet before. I solely depend on sunlight to bring out color of the fish. You may try and share with us the result. But I have attended TVR grow out event last year, and bros there shared that the red is better. Better not to mix to see the result Cheers |

Would think red one is more "potent". |

The green pea will help to clear it, same as using Epsom Salt as laxative. If the SBP is due to other factors, green pea will not help. |

I don't think pea can prevent sbp, it only help as a temporary laxative to clear their gut. Sbp usually started from overeating, poor environment or water conditions, or the fish itself has genetic flaws. It's a rather complex thing but anyway pea can only reduce the effect of sbp.

When choosing GF, keep look out for the swimming posture.
Balance during swimming and at stationary. Good genes GF will also reduce chances of SBP. Since most hobbist do feed FBW, try to do monthly deworming. Can be by medicine or thru medicated pellet. I have solely feed my GF with pellet food only but still do monthly deworming. I do not have GF with SBP problem since I started this about a year ago. Hope it help the hobbist here |
