Nice tank, is that a cactus i see at the back of the tank? If you want it to thrive you will have to keep the land area relatively dry.

yes, in fact the right corner are 2 cactus plant. will keep that area kinda dry. However will water the left corner regularly which is where the nerve plant is at.

my main concern is the waste from the crabs. i have dose the soil with BT-9, hoping it will create the eco cycle of breaking down the waste etc.

HELLO! ! really noob question.. wouldn't the tank smells, if not taken care? And is it very troublesome to setup a crab tank? I'm still learning~
