what i usually do it to ensure that the pict needs as little modification as possible, so i always try to make the tank as brightly illuminated as possible

my steps in abode PS with a raw pict are

1)crop to size
2)autolevel
3)sharpen is necessary

thats all

U r right bro...This is what i meant. Always capture the best angle and with enough lighting. Also depends on what kind of fish you are capturing...For example, fish like LH sometimes they jus wont post nicely for you to take them else you have to wait for the best moment....

Anyway, Great mind thinks alike.
