come... i get my friend... he is a pro in nikon... he goes by the name of KenRockWell...

http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/sb600vs800.htm

you can trust his review for sb600 vs sb800
but be careful... dont take all his other reviews for real... must try to read up more...

hohoho

hmmm sb600 is actually a newer product compared to sb800... both has its pros and cons. you have to decide for yourself which one serves you best in future...

for FISH photography, 2x sb600 may be more useful than 1x sb800... since 2x sb600 can better "fill" up the tank

Hmmm good idea to buy 2 sb-600 instead of 1 sb-800 after i've seen the comparison. Thnx a lot for your guidance.

Oh... so you are looking at Nikon external flashes to compliment your current equipment set up? Your initial question is not clear.

Cheers,

Cheers,
Sorry Bro Benny, not only Nikon.

I am also at the same time asking for an external flash and a camera body for a budget of around 1K for opinion sorry for any misunderstanding, but the Nikon flash question is for my current D80.

In that case, consider a second hand DSLR body and a used flash.

For example, a Canon 10D/350D paired with a Canon speedlite 420EX should cost below S$1000. Take note it's camera body only as per your request. Pictures from this camera and lens can still rival the latest gear in the market. There are also similar alternatives for Nikon as well.

Cheers,

Just to ask, an sb800 would work fine on a D40, am I right? So a few sb800's would also work fine with it? Could I use an Sb800 with an Sb600 (wireless?)
